Looking for a Fire Pit

I got this brilliant idea last year to build a fire pit. I watch a lot of HGTV and DIY shows and they made it look easy to build a fire pit. I thought a fire pit would be fun to use and simple to build. I called the local fire department to check the laws about a fire pit. They said I could build one as long as it was 25 feet away from my house. I measured 25 feet from my house and made a cement circle base foundation to start my fire pit. I decided to use river rocks for my fire pit. Chrissy and I love to go swimming at state parks. Before we would leave the state park I would collect river rocks and put them in my trunk. I had collected enough river rocks and I got to work building my fire pit. It wasn’t as easy as DIY had made it look. It took me a month and I was almost done building. My fire pit was not looking like the fire pit on DIY. At least I would be able to put a fire in it and make some s’mores.

Before I was able to put my finishing touches on my pit an interesting thing happened. I park my car in the back of the house where the fire pit is located and Chrissy parks her car in the front. For some reason there were workers doing work on the road. Chrissy’s car was blocked in and she wanted to take the recycling. My car was free because I park in the back. There is an alley that runs behind the house and that is how I get to the backyard. The alley was not blocked so Chrissy decided to take my car. I said bye and she went out the back door to leave. A few minutes go by and she comes back inside. She tells me that something bad has happened and I need to go outside. I go outside to see the remains of my once standing fire pit. Apparently Chrissy had forgotten about the fire pit in the middle of the yard and ran over it with the car. I thought it was funny. I wasn’t very happy with how the fire pit was turning out. I saw this as an opportunity to redo the fire pit and make it look better. I am currently working on the fire pit and I don’t think it will have any more accidents.
