Looking for an Intervention

So it is no secret that I am addicted to television.  Certain networks produce shows that I cannot stop watching.  Bravo is one of these networks.  I love watching Real Housewives (I know I previously had a blog about it), Top Chef, Millionaire Matchmaker, Million Dollar Listing, Work Out, Flipping Out, and Make Me a Supermodel.  Now there are two new shows NYC Prep and Miami Social.  I have watched all of these shows and I do not think that I have missed one episode.  Well with the exception of a few of Real House Wives of New Jersey episodes.  Watching those crazy ladies almost made me have a panic attack.  I even watch all the reunion specials and the lost footage specials.  This gives just a small idea of how very addicted I really am!  Because I just cannot get enough of the shows that Bravo offers, I am sure that soon my family and friends will call A&E’s Intervention for me.  If you haven’t watched Intervention it is this show that addicts go on not knowing they will soon face an intervention.  They go on the show under the assumption they are being filmed for a documentary on addiction.  Sometimes the people go to rehab sometimes they don’t, but it is interesting to watch none the less.  The big question looms “will they make or will they not?”  Surprisingly a lot of people are successful in beating their addiction.

Let’s just pretend I go on Intervention.  I first have to spell my name ”S-H-A-R-O-N.”  My family will talk about how my addiction has affected their lives.  It will show me watching Bravo all the time.  Since I’m always watching Bravo I will miss important family functions such as, weddings, graduations or funerals.  Then I go in thinking it is my last interview for the documentary and my whole family is there.  I have been caught off guard and I’m very surprised to see everyone.  I’m now in an intervention.  My friends and family all read letters about how Bravo has changed me and that if I don’t say yes to rehab they will no longer pay for my cable bill.  They have to give threats (they call these their bottom lines) so I will agree to rehab.  I agree I will go to rehab for my addiction to Bravo.  After rehab I am sure that I will relapse.  I start watching all the shows on Bravo once again.  Well, maybe I won’t watch Real Housewives of New Jersey.
